Here we go for Jesse's back the face of the the face of the the series is buggy only appeared in the first episode and now you're going away for a little while to go away do a little bit of time in prison for something stupid but now I'm back and I hope all of you took what I said the first time and what made you homeless not right what was your job before you became homeless before you lost your address I'm a senior JavaScript software engineer now I've got mental health he's got mental

accident yeah a bike accident you were on a bike Yeah Yeah from from cocaine from heroin from cat tablets come back and I hope all of you took what I said the first time and and took it heed on it and tried to help out as much as you could you know as my money is trying to help out so six months in in jail how was it in London or where did you go no I was in belmarsh is that harsh yeah very harsh a cat very harsh yes

do you want to join the interview with Jesse there was nothing I could do about it it was honestly nothing I could do about it what happened out there that was this madness with this homeless what happens the police just turn up arrest him because for something that I don't know what he's been arrested for yeah it's something like that and he throws something up in the air and it all bats all up what are you talking about uh just some some guy yeah yeah it's gone he's gone somebody was arrested yeah all right but let's let's get back to your story so six months and you're out now you gain some weight that you don't recognize how many stones did you get about five five Stones yeah it's a good food in the 15 and a half Stone now all right trying in it I'm trying I don't want to come back out and fall back into the same old struggles I was your addiction when you get in no they saw at your addiction they still wear your methodontist it's

do that for me so that's all good and now it's just a comeback and that's why I've been over where I live now just trying to stay away from it or look the first day back into town it all kicks off again but I'm trying in it I'm just trying and hopefully because I know a lot of the guys are falling apart since I've been away like mental health issues so now I'm back hopefully I'll be able to help some of them out and get them back on the right track again so you're keeping it away from drugs of course of course of course I have to yeah I have to recognize about staying out of prison I don't want to go back into prison again I need to stay out and that's that means staying away from everything staying away from people you care about even you're after at times what are you gonna do all right so what actually happened that you ended up in prison I just I'm gonna either fight with someone just assaulted them and I ended up in prison for that they give me a year [Music]

so let's get back to the the begins you grew up in Croydon you said last no I grew up in Brixton yeah but I'll come to Croydon to change my life and to help and that's what I've been trying to do to just help was it a better change for you so yeah yeah of course of course why Brixton was this is where I'm now in my my reputation is a bit uncanny people know my reputation in Brixton so it's not good for me to have that reputation anymore try to let go of all the violence and all that and become a good person good loving person as you know and you're married you married your wife yeah now you're not married but you're still friends I don't know if I'm friends he just terrorizes me whenever she sees me yeah she's my best friend She'll always be my best friend that will never change now what happens between us we'll always be friends because she knows and I know only certain people care about your certain way in your life and that's the way you want to be cared for but sometimes you mess up and you do things that are at your control and it's life it's what we are we're human beings and so we behave this is a pan wow we're back at where we started hopefully so what was your routine sort of going back to jail or did you have an occupation there already just yeah I was an auxiliary nurse I just tried I was a nurse you were a nurse in jail yeah no not in jail I didn't do nothing in there I just sat down in there all right there was no my nose sometimes they give you a job don't they yeah but I didn't get a job I don't like working in prison I don't like doing all that I just stayed in my cell and just chilled okay spread the word you have a teller in yourself yeah they have all of that in their TVs and everything and every order many channels yeah well 50 channels I don't want to tell you I'll read books yeah we read books for the library and you you read books that we just read books it's more education how many books you manage to read oh quite a lot of books about 20 books yeah in a little six months or five months about 20 books I've read a lot of books how many of us about 20 20 books and what the can you can you mention some pieces brother I need help for report huh because I always ask homeless people what they read because they actually are they worried I read like Jackie Collins things like that uh Dean Koontz I really do a different sort of stuff was that easy access to the library not really not in belmarsh not in belmarsh right was it I was in the a capital facility oh okay I'm I'm meth or four so I get treated like an acre like out here I've got to jump through hoops to stay at were you allowed only to have so many books at time or yeah four books four books four books a time and unlimited you could have that life no you have to take them back read them and take them back how often do you can you go to them once a week four weeks

try help out the homeless people you know we all got their problems they've got the things they're going through but try and help them out because what you're going to find out is a lot of homeless people are good people you know they're very good people they just need a little chance give them a chance and I'm sure they will show you will shock you you know that's all I can't really say are you homeless now no I'm not I'm in a Belvedere I'm in a hospital in Belvedere I'm in the Battle of hostel yeah after being a bail off store for a little while how is that it's okay jumping through hoops means I stay out though so it's better than being in prison and I mean they didn't be any job

 Update on Lucie - her partner is back from the mental hospital Bethlem. This is the second vlog with Lucie. Last time her partner had a mental breakdown and was in a mental hospital Bethlem ( first mental hospital in the World) Now he is back and they beg on the streets. Live in a tent. Check this out!

Vlog in text: Folks we are here with Bella and uh folks we are here with Lucy and her partner what's your name Phil yeah so fill you out of the hospital because last time Lucy told us that you had like a breakdown Lucy how are you he's coming to deals with it anyway so like you don't normally do all this big man that sort of said you saw a big thing you know but yeah we're not all right really the council's still like moved us you know we've um dumped him out here and they just put everything and still at it no I've got mental health he's got mental health so why are we out here you know does that make sense to you I just doubt dealt with them you know hey I'm a street breakfast I'm rough I'm ready for it you know yeah he's actually at the Bethlehem at the moment because he's had a form of a breakdown but yeah I've ended up in in London alcoholism my parents were drinkers themselves West Africa the system's broken I'll pay tax all my life in the UK yeah all in the UK I ran an events company big company [Music] yeah because you've been together for a long time haven't you 23 years 23 years yeah I feel used to work he he worked and you used to work for television a little bit or something like no remove boats removals you were on tell or something yeah it's a big part of it you've done good man you did you were dogs he was good at your job see my husband don't like things like this big man he's very proud you know and he don't like people knowing his business you know that was a big thing but sometimes it's better to speak out and he might get better else with it you know everything's some for a reason in it all right so you have not seen clearance because they I beat myself to myself big man you feel we stay up here and I don't I don't associate with these you don't you know dead they're completely different characters I'm not being you know Bella who are interested yes I do know Bella very um well but yeah I don't really want to speak about that you know to speak about that it's very sore it's a very sore subject with everyone out here to be honest because I'm not like these out here in a way not in a horrible way they don't want to help themselves we're we're crying out for the council to help us and no one eats you know so speaking the truth like I said to you before honesty is not always the best policy yeah I'm not saying that did I say that you did because I was being honest with the cancer when being basically we're in a relationship and with this and he's working but we've been penalized for that and we're still out every four years later he's got a lucky in condition now and me well I've lost the plot even more and yes we are I've been sleeping in the temple last three years for the last two years yeah now don't get me wrong we've been offered um accommodation but separately so I'm not willing to take that that's that's not a appropriate um offer is it oh yeah we've got somewhere for you but you sleep there you sleep better no I want to wake up to my husband I've been within 23 years you know the end of the day our mental well Prime Ministry ago and he's my trigger so with us both together we're not going to be in very good State and why should we why should we he'd be separated we shouldn't have to all right so because the thing is when he got released out of the hospital you know when did you get released three four months ago 34 months you know where should we be at it you know the bathroom yeah oh yeah and it it wants me to help he's not you like that it's the show our fresh start you know what we want you know for helping ourselves lasting to help ourselves and we're being going to this charity has caused me more than what I did when I first went to these and accepted their Opera belt I mean it was the state and they put me through so much it's made me a different person you know you get that didn't you you see the way I was a few years ago you wouldn't understand these lot won't put up with any of this would they but now no that condition now because I freeze like this now they're like yeah use that as a weapon say so 20 something years together are you married or no and that was used against us in the eyes of the law because when he was hospitalized because of his condition he was shouting he hates me he hates this it was used I wasn't allowed in there you know because it was under security risk for him you know at the end of the day 23 years I've been with that man and the support workers and they bled it you know he's had to break down and he's been given paperwork signs come on he's on the zone that he hates me of course he's gonna sign anything to work there you know come on use your head you are all right all right folks so how's your the substance abuse are you still no no but I don't want to talk about that today you don't want to talk about that's a very short subject what would you like to talk about today I'll finish what I want to talk about today I'll tell you because today it's been a really stressing day today and I've lost the plot I've thrown sandwiches at these bullies I've stood up to myself today what happened so I've just if you still got too much out of here today it's just all got too much and I've I've stood up to him and uh in it and feel yes is there anything you would like to say you okay and what does it say what does it say on you on your board yeah put it helped me I break spell any chance of the truth okay yeah and what about the advice for people who are about to to mess gotta be honest honesty ain't the best policy now just be yourself just be yourself big man see you all right thank you he is where we come from you know just for telling the truth it is where is it that you come from I'll talk about that next all right my friend so what triggered your homelessness yeah so no I said whatever was oh I was because I broke my leg and I was drinking heavily when I gave one of my flatmates my card in the card number and he basically Stole My Money so I've got interviews with my landlord and now that was basically so it's like if you don't give all the money back by this point that was what that was five months ago yeah five months ago you were still like I had a place to stay yeah and things weren't peer-shaped and you ended up on the streets yeah all right what happened to your legs by the way oh no it's just analysis cleaning out the kitchen I'm up in the floor it's like chicken grease and I I just slipped over and you broke your leg and I'm not kind of Hospital

can you lift it a little bit hold on the surgery all the way down there so I broke my fibular my tibula and so I was just I was laying in bed

and I was relying on other people to go shopping for me and I saw how it happened it's just my fault you know oh that what it was you just she was going to to do some shopping for you yeah yeah your alcohol all right when did your story with alcohol started I mean well you oh a long time I mean I've always drunk about like I said about like 10 years ago roughly to say I love I got in trouble lost you know please came out of Social Services so I could be near my daughter anymore and I think that's what really tricky that's when it started getting really heavy [Music] you could just couldn't cope with your family problems so you say you have a daughter right well I had one yeah man

one day I'll see you again so so what happened to your relationship with the mother of the daughter can you tell us about that please

it was all I've said it was just say we're engaged she had two boys who approve his marriage and

I done something stupid so she had two boys before she met you yeah and uh and how long you've been together for about a year about only a year so it was a kind of short-term relationship yeah it moved too quick I moved in too quick she got pregnant and that was yeah and then we got engaged and it just I think it's a bit too much pressure and yeah I've done something silly I won't say on camera but yeah now is it if you kick me out let's move in with my mum yeah so tell us more about your childhood did you grow up in London uh yeah here in Croydon [Music]

how much to say really well did you have both parents yeah well so yeah a man raised me my dad didn't do anything just he was just there feeling awesome and the siblings one brother older brother two years is he all right it takes me every now and again but you know it's not on the streets anyway no no he's got a family Wife and Kids he's got other problems Family Man problems

he's got to take care of his family my support I think you know he's direct family I don't try not to buy him to him I haven't really got a lot of people around so my dad lives in Greece now your dad lives in Greece and what happened to your mum yeah so well she died um yeah about two three years ago got lost out lung cancer just very quick you know one minute she had a bad back about four months she died on box a day day after Christmas started to hear that that's just yeah we're very close but you're living together like no no I had my own place no I had a flat that's what I bought it it was close so I used to go around every weekend

yeah so it's just I don't then I mean covert happened yeah how did you go through covet so obviously I couldn't work anymore because of that I was out of work for six months drinking heavily because there's nothing else to do [Music]

pastry chef pastry chef make pies okay you know that's that's your skills right pastry chefs or yeah I always kept the cave in Industry taking this today okay how long you've been doing that for hours a couple about three years for the years I was butcher before that and where was that where was that Sussex Sussex yes so I lived there for about 15 years 10 years that's where I lived I got kicked out the reason I came down here I don't know why I came back here where I was brought up I thought we might be some friends around there and he just did work out that way I knew now I'm not as a stay here right my nice Vegas obviously I want to get back into work get my own you know place now so may I ask you you know what's your what's your alcohol consumption like I mean how much do you drink well that's my second bowl okay all right so about tours every day maybe two of them so it's bad I see if you like your covers yeah Brandy

is that your favorite alcohol that's easy whiskey whiskey but a bit cheaper no way Brandy is not cheaper than whiskey man never oh it's the cheap stuff all right that's a cheap nasty stuff yeah it's easy whiskey I don't know how I'll go into it the whiskey started off like a little like you know and then say I just got a taste of it yeah drink out the ball

I like you don't recommend it all right have you got any problems like with other addictions drugs abuse I used to smoke a lot of weed when I was with our teenager from to the age of 30. so I lost my fat really well until I got arrested what for well drugs all right you know I had a lot on me and I see someone I was on the train back for work and someone smelled it called the police and that's his history the social services came around and [Music] her kids away she was a good mum you know he's like because if they come I'll leave anyway so that was it really [Music]

hmm you know they they did do anything but it's just a thought they were there and she just flipped her [ __ ] lid yeah I see I see but you gradually anyway you said you you stopped smoking we didn't you yeah I mean she gave me all the money and basically stopped smoking or I'm gonna kick you out so I just stopped yeah yeah I've done it since but then I started drinking instead [Music] oh dumb all right my friends [Music] listen if there's any like advice that you can give to people not to end up like you what that would be [Music] uh

no I just you know just keep your head above water like don't don't take stuff for granting don't drink I mean I know it's easy thing to say but you know because once if you started you had and stuff goes wrong in your life you start to depend on it I don't know if you just but even if you go down you can always pick yourself back up again that's what I'm trying to do but you can't get used to living like how I am now you do you get used to it after a while then I just keep your head up keep drying that's really awkward say I'm not the best person I also advice but all right thanks a lot for the interview and I hope to see you see you soon my friend no problem all right
