Vlog in text: All right folks we are here with Sarah who's been on the streets for only last four was it four weeks four weeks what happens Sarah tell us your story because I was living with a friend that ended up wanting her drugs instead of me and she kicked me out so I'm back out on the streets again so what made you homeless not right what was your job before you became homeless before you lost your address I'm a senior JavaScript software engineer now I've got mental well but he's got mental health so why are we out here so you had an accident yeah a bike accident you were on a bike right yeah from from cocaine from heroin from crack tablets my friend that ended up I wanted in her drugs instead of me and she kicked me out so I'm back out on the streets again so very nice were you like a couple no it's just a friend and she just wanted her drug money so because I didn't have my money she threw me out so I'm back out here and hopefully next week I'll be getting rehoused hopefully right right and this is your you said your second time you've been homeless before you know how how it is to be homeless kind of horrible it's horrible especially out here in winter it's going to be even worse that's why I can't wait to get rehearsed because it is cold out here at night and it rains have you been have you been homeless before like in the winter time yeah I was the first time well never again that was cold that was cold because I can see pretty organizing just yeah it's organized because I keep it all in bags in it so it's easier so yeah and you can see that you just become homeless it's yeah it's the early stages from what I know as I said I'll never do it again it is horrible all right well tell us about like something about yourself what do you do and I don't do nothing because I've got you um yeah well I've got problems I've got arthritis in my spine and all over my body so I'm on medication and that I'm waiting for a new operation and I'm also waiting for a back operation operation as well yeah because my spine is being crushed about that much before I'm paralyzed from the waist downwards in what I've got about two inches to go before my spine is crushed by the disc because they're crumbling and pushing against my nerve I see and I'm out here and which I shouldn't even be out here because it's too cold and it's not doing me any good to hear that that's all right so you've got some health issues yeah and it's a mental health as well no no not mental health I've just got like health problems my back and all right physical health yeah and your friend tell us more like you've been living together and then you it's because I was living with her not long and she wanted drug money because I had no money she didn't want me living there anymore but I gave him a Tina what I had and she wanted more because she wanted drugs because I said I haven't got any more till I get paid she went well there you go go and stay outside in the cold and kick me out so I've been out here now four weeks or coming four weeks the end of this week it'll be four weeks and the way you've chosen this particular spot I feel comfortable here since I've been here I I find like it is more clothes in here I don't like anywhere else I was down there last time down that end well I don't like it downloaded are you originally from this part part of the town no I'm actually from Bromley why crude on them because I moved here with a friend of mine that was that lived in Croydon and he brought me down here so and I registered with Croydon Council so I'm just waiting now oh I can't wait either to get a place Sarah tell us about you're like your childhood did you grow up well in Bromley did you say yeah and you've got siblings I've got two sisters and a brother now they're still in London yeah yeah you get to buy them sometimes no they don't talk to me and I've only got one mum that's alive my dad passed away all right and so when did you see your siblings for the last time I haven't seen them for years for years yep so I don't know what about your mom do you see your mouth I see my mum quite often I'm due to see you again soon anyway she's in Hastings so right and then you're growing up what schools did you go to I went to a special school up in Bromley a special school yeah because I got learning difficulties in it so it's my brother so so does your brother have learning difficulties yeah and you went to a special school in Bromley and that's that and then and I know what about jobs I used to be a carer and worked in a nursing home and I was to say I can't do nothing now because if I normally do anything do you have some some troubles with moving and so yeah yeah at the moment my back is hurting she's sitting here that's why I had to keep moving because it's so low down I've got all my medication is there all right you've got your medication here yeah I sleep next to me so I keep an eye on it see because I don't trust people my phone goes in my bag and that's beside me as well so you know Salah is there any advice you would give to people just don't be a homeless just don't stay out on the streets because it's not safe I was grabbed two weeks ago I was grabbed by two color breaks into a car have you yep what's that in here no that was up by Fella's Hall which is up over the other side fairfield's Halls yeah yeah I'll share with three uh three others and they'd only popped to the shop and obviously with another friend that and he said the color won't come over and said you want a drink because both me and my friend said yes they said come to the shop with me well I've walked halfway to the shop knew what he wanted so I wanted to walk back but as I went to walk back he's grabbed hold of me and tried putting me towards him to get into the car because he wanted me to go and be at he's to do everything because I said no to do what what do you think he wanted me okay okay all right uh [Music] Sarah and is this any like a contact people can contact you that see you here on the street maybe somebody is out there willing to help you what that would be any social media handles here um I have got an email yeah so yeah tell us your email and Sarah Fortner at 3421 gmail.com all right folks and is there anything else you would like to add no no there's nothing else just don't be out here because it's not nice at all especially at night time especially at night time the last four weeks and when you're saying that you might be getting a golf I might be getting a house live at the end of this week or beginning of next week fingers crossed I get it because I can't do no more out here I've had enough of being out here are you registered in the council yeah and they say they will there will be something coming a house for you yeah because of what I've got wrong with me they're trying to push it forward and quicker so I'm not out here anymore have they offered you a hostel it's either a host or a hotel or somewhere why are you not in the hotel why are you on the streets I am not in a hotel yet this is what they've offered me so I've just got to wait and see what comes up oh they haven't actually no over this week or end of next week or a house that's deployment Council doing that for you yep it's a Pity you've got to spend this few days on the streets looking after you for the time being because I've seen you before and I call by now that we know each other yeah so yeah thanks for the interview I wish you all the best wish you that you will get the Gap very soon I've had enough you know I'll go to bed with backache I get off in the morning even trying to get up off here I can't do it is quite well organized have a look at this folks you know I mean yeah it's like that more stuff anyways um I will be everything for today thank you well from Rebecca from Sarah I will leave you yeah okay peace now and I will call by here in a few days okay I'm still around okay yeah cheerio Check my vlog on https://bloggervloggerselektazupa.blogspot.com/ Please subscribe to my channels English - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc6D5Fnuv-x76ZuBEE1QzqQ After 6 months - update on Archie & Claire - Life on the Streets

Look who i met! It has been a while since we had Archie & Claire on the channel -

. . ..
Vlog in text: hey folks look who I met Archie and Claire is here they moved to to somewhere else but I was lucky to get them in uh how are you doing folks yeah we're good we're good a lot of things in Chinese and all that so um um so L'Oreal's right well we've just just the last few days been in-house um empty shelves at the moment we've got em sure I've got no carpet no we're still friends obviously we'll always be good mates we'll always be best mates we have several places for the empty shelves so we're still trying to collect um you know Furniture why did you split up folks of lions what happened you've been so going so strongly like just being out on the road is a bit harder here not right what was your job before you became homeless before you lost your address I'm a senior JavaScript software engineer now I've got mental health he's got mental health so why are we out here so you had an accident bike accident you were on a bike right yeah yeah from cocaine from Ireland from cut tablets racism a little update on Claire and our and are you back together well you're not back together but you're a good mic best friends best friends and not so yeah we're hungry back in the postcode back in the area and um you know still moving along trying to progress just trying to make our home at home now we've got well several at home but we're trying to make but we work together talking still and that's the way like well have you found somebody else no no nobody just broke up for me it's not going to be for a while right you get things I think okay they're built like it because like how many times have problems lost the country and all that so it's like it's in it's integrated into their sort of DNA that's my personal fingers we have a little snow here a little snow like an inch of snow here but everyone [ __ ] that doesn't work was it called what's it um there's much snow everyone calls into work sick I can't come in all right all right right folks but you're not on the streets right no thank God each of you have a place to stay yeah separately obviously and um but it's empty shells so it's doing things like carpet and appliances and things like that but all right well you you make leave your details like a phone number maybe there's somebody out there having furniture for you yes you've got a phone number aren't you right shall I give the phone number to people yeah write it down and put it on there and yours one as well okay I've got a toaster um well I see that's a good thing that you off the streets it's a first step what's the next step for you you had a long time for this yeah we went ahead of a long time even though it wasn't how we planned you know we originally planned obviously Ever After but the things I've changed the Dynamics have changed what you call a massive degree actually but early man um it's one of his grandfather what happened to your to your to your hand to your arm I cut myself let's see that you've got that tendency to cut yourself a lot and that's the reason right yeah when was that um a few weeks back three weeks yeah why are you doing this Claire I don't know it's real yeah I don't know I need to do it I would have done it I had a relief and then I hate it and I hate it but if because you've done it over and over for many years I can see so many scars yeah the way it's the way for it to release it's difficult to understand some people everyone's so hard don't know that like some people punch balls on people's most places so I smoke someone drinks I'll take drugs well I really worry about you because I had a friend that did that and she eventually commits suicide so I really hope you won't do it you've got my phone number if you cut yourself next time you know call me oh okay okay that's that's like a sign to the outside world there's something wrong with me you know you know like you know from previous look out look at the way I love to me it's hard out here right now lavish and comfortable at all but we are out of the elements without any weather and all that but it's still funny get a set of keys and we'll be okay we've got those occasions but you're great but then emotional Cuts guy comes out and then we're like we're indoors but we don't know what we're doing we don't know we're walking a base in that room we'll sit there whatever Telly and it doesn't we can't yeah being homeless to having a home we just walk like like Claire says we will get their keys all our problems be over but it's not that the most adjustment periods like like we sleep in a sofa and we've got two we've got a bedroom but like it's not measures but we're like I've asked him on a sofa he's been kind of so far you know yeah you told me that you know they want an interview one time we've got the flat we stayed on the road is it you know yes yes folks and what about your the substance abuse are you still you're doing very very well very very good so with the um the the services that we're involved with that treat us abuse um we've recently changed to a new and so we don't have any withdrawing in Latin what is it Esperance if you take anything I'll talk with that you're gonna be sick yeah so without taking everything it really is helping I assume everyone like the injection like because we've got to put on the tablet first and then we'll go down on that tablet we're getting addicted and you don't have to have anything if you touch anything it makes sick anyway that's the new new yeah there's always been our plan we've never won it there we don't want this love we want to have like we want our life we don't want to assist banana in a good good track to get live guys back yeah it is well so what's the obstacles you see what could be an options for you to get back to normal life is still do you know what you know what he's saying like tarnish with a brush but someone just writes you off before you get a chance right all right even still sometimes because people have seen us out there so many times wherever it means they go everybody knows everyone even people that we don't know we've never seen before they know us because we've been a spectacle yeah for everyone for so long so everyone knows us we walk into a shop straight away security guard to be honest foreign a lot of good and you know I don't know why I used to like gave us a bit more flavor people and yeah a lot of people is it like so I think I think it might have been mentioned before but then once we was out there and even still right now it was still right now break a pardon um the like the services that we're involved with that are there to help us I haven't really helped us even okay we've been out and all that which we're massively grateful for um but the most people tell us is just good people in the community and they are awesome and and the services were there are you doing what they're created to provide Donuts like when we're good we're really good aren't we and then we're about really bad there's no middle ground of us you know but they see the birds and they wouldn't but they don't basically rewrite that about on us like when we argue ourselves but when we had a good time they don't write that down we have more good than bad because we had more good yeah people tend to remember the bad yeah yeah it's gonna be bad it's going to be good middle ground so do you think you will get backed we don't know what a few dollars which is supposed to do it you just don't know but who left who right yeah not a joint agreement but it just it happens on the streets no no place yeah we fell in love in the hopeless place for me it's a hopeless place I thought it is sums it up really yeah but you know there's everyone in there a [ __ ] Donuts no no conversational skills no no people skills no people talking skills and all that so in this place in this hopeless place you know there's more out there for us more on the same the same waves yeah that's why we're good mates didn't exist yeah that's why we're still Powers Yeah because we have got to say it's like we are the same yeah they call it cut from the same cloth I see archery are you thinking to get back to the building industry a little while ago about the adjustment periods of being on the street and being alone yes yes and and and with that is um my body clock I'm still awake late at night because when we was on the street um so we'll be all because of people so people come out in the pumps and all that and so like sort of be sleeping with one eye opening both of us are protecting us so so my sort of body cloth my body clock is way out of sync um so that's for that that's one mate sort of thing but the main reason um about about about working on that is because so I hurt myself a roof that's what made me get on drugs that's what made me do that because we're paying them right so I was using drugs are the painkiller but um I I don't think I can go back because I used to roof be a roofer and all falls were building work all around I don't think my body I'm getting on a bit as well I'd like to teach you I'd like to teach students it was naturally installed into me for my child um so I was naturally installed into me as a child and and I'm lucky lucky I'm lucky that I had that and I'm very lucky and a lot of people don't get that yeah the folks now because you've been away from the streets for for a few months now do you see any changes there's more homeless or less there's no faces yeah and your face a lot of new people but they're not homeless they're um these are the people abused those fake homelessness and some of them get flats yeah it's all controlled by drugs what drugs are around just cracked hair and weeds how's the spice dreams people think about I don't know I've [ __ ] broke it once by accident on the floor look at all these things it's not a good looking game it's like a Michael Jackson video all right well folks I I need to I need to get going um so we all missed you guys you've been from the very beginning in the series actually you're the face of the show so it's really good to see you've changed and well I wish all the best for you how the people will contact you and I will offer you the microwaves or something like that yeah I do really yeah yeah you're right I've got your phone number so hopefully we can get a in some time to see how you're getting on folks till next time next time see you later see you later yes I told you about um black women's growing up with his poor we're so poor like when it was cold we used to sit around the candle and then when it was really cold it was a light but I didn't tell you about the rest of the porn it's all right we used to go to KFC like to lick other people's fingers #london #english #homeless #homelessness #uk Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc6D5Fnuv-x76ZuBEE1QzqQ/join Check my vlog on Meet Andy - he became homeless due to family issues - Life on the Streets

I met Andy in south London. He has been homeless twice, each time it was woman causing his homelessness.

. . . . Vlog in text: we are here with Andy who's been homeless for how long a month now a month one month yeah tell us quickly your story because basically um I had a rough year I split up with my girlfriend uh beginning of the year um so I ended up on my dad's sofa in the space of six when I was working and then um uh so I found out I got arthritis due to a broken leg it's turned into arthritis so I can't work due to covid couldn't get a physiotherapist to help me so I can't work anymore anyway since then uh since then I couldn't pay my rent um lost my pays not right what was your job before you became homeless before you lost your address I'm a senior JavaScript software engineer now I've got mental health he's got mental health so why are we out here so you had an accident yeah a bike accident you were on a bike right yeah from from cocaine from heroin from cat tablets races I couldn't find my rent um lost my pies what about like like a government had didn't did you get that like University yeah I got Universal Credit but that was it that was like 344 pound a month and I don't go nowhere I don't is that all you were getting yeah that's what I was getting because I didn't until I found out I've only just recently found out I had arthritis but then my mum passed away and she was a family politics my dad and my brother and I'd send it out on the streets so I ended up outside made it hospital because I knew what to do about being homeless and because I was homeless six years ago after my marriage failed I said and then um got verified I had to be physically laying down before they come see you um otherwise everyone for you I've spoken to having a really decent people uh according to reached so sorry um Andy yes Andy yes coming back to the family she's what was it was a it was a house that you were staying yeah yeah it was obviously tell us more about that yeah yes um I'm staying on my dad's side because I split up with my girlfriend she's selling the flat um yeah and in that time when I was starting a lot of sort of I broke my leg three years ago and uh I don't know what you call it stuff between your leg the fluid whatever on that leg and then um found out I got arthritis I couldn't work no more um [Music] yes uh lots of my mum passed away and fill out with um [Music] his father and I'm back on the streets all right but you've been housed this year yeah I've just got into Palmer House which is a place up the road I was hostile um better than being on the streets you know but um yeah I've got a room in a lot of complex and you share the washing machine you've got to share kitchen um because like your entire office and that there's always something how many rooms are there often it's about 50. yeah it's quite it's fair size it's fair size um said I wasn't actually housed no she's still she's still yeah she got out she was meant to get ours before me but we met on the streets you know so I don't know whether that's made a lot of difference because obviously she's she's a woman she should be before me so that was housed with women first I think obviously what she's had to trauma experience which is on the street there's two guys want to grab hold of her and things like that so but um yeah well tell us more about like your childhood oh I grew up in overboard um yeah just up the road here um foreign out on the streets don't see that anymore um it won't be long um yeah so I went um from now I've gone to um work went to work went to school I went to work I worked in the building of a 20 you know 25 years now as a builder as a builder yeah multitrade do locksmith for your carpentry but I am whatever took loads more rugby so I mean but the situation is at the minute with everyone as homeless is there's there's not enough room at the invos you know there's too many people here there's not enough dwellings for people you know um it's not a lot there's lots of sold in Canada I mean not building enough houses not to no there's nowhere for nowhere to go and there's not excuse me um as you use their walking sticks yeah after you can't put no weight on it can't go upstairs yeah I have to I have to use I've got different ones I use I haven't I've even been seen to you I'm still waiting to have an assessment going I know that was over a month ago I found out I got arthritis definitely I haven't even had a phone call about that yet um so I've just been dealing with a GP I just keep getting fun uh painkillers all the time playing because painkillers like the substance abuse on the streets no I've got a problem with alcohol um that goes back a few years now but obviously it's my marriage fault but um I've got I've managed to get cut it right down I'm getting help for that I've got to go tomorrow and get another appointment A lady called cowra and lovely loaders are drinking at the moment uh through four cones a day but it used to be strong side and now it's only like Coles Burger now yeah but that can all change depends what happens in the day you know your mood can change quite quickly you can be having a laugh and and then you can be down and that's when you hear an entrance we are because you're around there it's terrible these people break your bottles of fights that are kicking off every night you know every night [Music] but Queens Gardens they do a lot of food for the homeless every night and a half past nine it's going off down there all the time and there's more and more people going down there and you know you're dealing with all walks of life and then there's people they're even working that go down there you know where the clock tower is Queen's Garden is right next to it so you go down there you can get some food what about the Crisis crisis they're good but because there's so many people there's not enough slot slot to try and get a shower I could take you awake to have a shower and take it away you know because you have to be pre-booked that's the problem yeah you know there's so many homeless at the minute you think the number is growing of homeless people yeah um it is so many how many yeah but there's there's about 20 down this High Street alone I don't know I was leaving on rough I don't always float on the High Street this is probably one of the best place to sleep under here the doctor it comes to about here if the rain's coming out but you know I'm one of the fortunate ones I've actually housed but these two my friends here your house tonight no I was housed on Thursday oh thank you my friend blood pressure yeah um yeah it's um what was the question sorry it's good to see somebody else you know I like to document that yeah as well I just wanted to be on camera he was number one I thought no it's fine it's fine um well if there is a lot people keep coming up they move they move us on and things like that yeah you get a lot of help yeah a lot there's a lot of good people out there a lot of still a lot of good people yeah you know they help you know not all the time money is food you know so even if they're having a chat you know it's there's some difference between a good day and a bad day you know so nice smile like that lady there and if there's somebody watching this that would like to help you is there any way to contact you yeah um I've got my phone number so I'll give it to you personally or yeah just tell us what's my phone number uh yeah how are we going guys yeah documents for about the homeless don't um contact my number is 07497-294-135 uh my Mall email address is Andrew Andrew underscore Parsons at outlook.com right thanks a lot for the interview thank you sir you didn't say much my friend but you you've been there a lot of English he's a good man right well you take care thank you
