All right folks we are here with Joseph who's been on the Streets of London for how long 14 months 14 months and you said what triggered your homelessness yeah mom died in that house yeah took it quite bad life slide so local Council that slow so I've been out here 14 months 40 months on the streets and uh how are you making money to live no I don't steal I asked if you asked if possible yeah okay so you said you you you you come from from Jamaica yeah you're on the way here so I'm technically Jamaican Irish English were you like born no no you're like going on a plane or what yeah you keep these Waters sorry I was always dealt with them you know hey I'm a street breakfast I'm rough I'm ready for it you know yeah he's actually at the bathroom at the moment because he's had a form of a breakdown but yeah I've ended up in in London alcoholism my parents were drinkers themselves

raise six children on my own when the last longer and got a place the council decided to take my place that it was too big

I haven't really held me since you know so I've been waiting for somewhere now 14 months

I had a bed sheet and stuff but I had the wife as well and they wouldn't accommodate us both and so I ended up with no accommodation at all

so what what is your wife and your family like that I'm coming it's fine wife appeared a few weeks ago

so it's just me

uh so what about like like substances you're messing up with substances yeah I was being stuck out here you sort of ends up that way not trying to turn it the other way now what substances are you talking about just smoking all right smoking smoking about weed and yeah we are practicing let's see it makes it even harder yeah so it's a is that the the place where you stay this tunnel now yeah yeah a few there's a few places around Croydon

depending on how it is wait a minute

what there is

very hard very well were you in touch with some organizations like Crisis are they not helping or what yes yes they came just before you did and um

I think there's going to be a cold weather thing so cold weather and you've got that paper from them yeah yeah that's it they're gonna try and get me in this hotel

all right that's nice

somebody brought you like like looking for a hotel because the cold weather is coming yeah I'll just tell him

what organization is it that was um

well never mind Joseph Dakota is there any advice you could give to people don't take drugs

try every stay away from it no no it's dangerous very dangerous would you consider wheat as well a drug

um yeah the same cigarette I suppose some cigarette right
