Terror Telboy is a rapper born and raised in the birthplace of grime; Bow E3. His music is a mixture of grime, garage & hip-hop. He first got into music in the 90s when UK garage was starting to gain some serious momentum, listening to pirate radio stations such as Rinse and Déjà vu and heading to garage nights around the city.
When he was teenager, he was introduced to a friend who used to bedroom DJ oldschool and garage. Being surrounded by a community of people involved in this, it inspired him to want to start a career of his own. He used to MC over garage instrumentals in his friend’s bedroom, along with other friends from his area. At the same time, rappers from the area such as Dizzee Rascal & Wiley were smashing it on pirate radio stations with sharp & gritty lyrics, in a similar time that So Solid Crew emerged from South London – this was the birth of Terror Telboy.
